On 30 March 2019, a heavy rainstorm has struck northern Syria, culminating in the middle of the night and affecting the IDPs’ tents in the northern Syrian camps. The Information Management Unit (IMU) of the Assistance Coordination Unit (ACU) is working to give a real picture of IDPs’ situations in the northern Syrian camps and to report the emergency situation there, in order to reach an urgent response by the humanitarian agencies and alleviate the suffering of the IDPs.

In all the affected camps, water leakage has led to the perishing of all foodstuffs, which shows the urgent need to distribute food baskets to the affected families.
The civil defense teams have worked to open the roads, clean up the sewerage and get rid of flood water within the possible capabilities, yet the roads within the camps still need rehabilitation.
