Oqeirbat Sub-district is located within As- Salamiyeh District in Hama Governorate. Oqeirbat is located on the Eastern side of Hama and borders Tadmor Sub-district in Homs Governorate and Aleppo Governorate. Oqeirbat Sub-district consists of 24 communities with an estimated population of 24,000 people according to statistics prior the beginning of the civil uprising.
